John McKeon
IBM
John is a twenty five year veteran of the information technology industry and has extensive experience bringing innovative security products and services to government, financial services, healthcare, retail, and other international markets. He is well known and highly regarded as a leading expert in the field of identity and access management, and has pioneered the use of smart cards, biometrics and other authentication technologies to meet the security and privacy challenges facing our world today.
John currently works for IBM as their worldwide leader of trusted identity solutions, where he develops and markets identity solutions across their global hardware, software, and services businesses. He previously led IBM’s identity management services business, providing I&AM solutions as part of an extensive security and privacy services portfolio. Prior to that, John managed IBM’s smart card solutions business and introduced numerous groundbreaking solutions into the company’s Internet, PC, wireless and mobile product lines.
John has also worked for RSA Security where he was Director of smart card solutions, and 3GI where he led product marketing and development as Vice President of products. John was the founder of the OpenCard Consortium and is an author and board member of the Smart Card Alliance. He speaks regularly at leading industry events such as the Biometric Consortium, CTST, InfoSec, Inside ID, ISC, CTST, SCA and others.
