The Electronic Transactions Association and the Smart Card Alliance hosted a complimentary interactive webinar series entitled, The Smart Card Payments Application Series.
The fourth and final webinar of the series, “Technology: Smart Cards & Payments Security,” looked at the security of the payments infrastructure and how the industry leveraged new technology and standards to address the security of online and retail payments. This session discussed encryption techniques, key management systems, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, and the techniques merchants, issuers and processors have adopted to protect retail payments.
