Alliance Activities : Events : 9th Annual Smart Cards in Government: Identity, Security & Healthcare Conference : Call for Papers

Topic and speaker proposals are now being accepted until September 3rd.
(Submissions will be reviewed by the program advisory committee starting August 1st.)

Educational conference tracks are still being finalized by a multi-industry conference program advisory committee, lead by members of the Smart Card Alliance. The Smart Card Alliance program advisory committee is seeking new topics for consideration for this year’s conference program consistent with its theme of “Identity, Security & Healthcare”. The proposed topics should involve the government–lead policy and infrastructure changes for enhanced security for physical and network (logical) access, trusted identities and the health information technology. Examples of topics that that the program committee will be considering are:

  • Use cases that highlight federal and non-federal government identity management and security implementations
  • Policy and technology initiatives for trusted identities for eCommerce and eGovernment
  • Electronic health records and privacy and security safeguards for health IT
  • Identity credentialing technology standards, ID form factors, cryptography, and PKI
  • Pilots based on emerging smart card and related technologies and applications
  • Examples of state government and international citizen identity card programs

The conference program steering committee favors vendor-neutral, educational presentations that focus on the real-life applications of payments and digital security technologies and systems. Proposals must be submitted using the online form below. The deadline for proposal submission is Friday, September 3, 2010. (NOTE: The program committee will be meeting regularly beginning August 1st so it is advised to submit early to have the best opportunity to be selected, and not delay your submission until at or near the deadline.)
