Task Force Report
Secure Personal ID Task Force
The Secure Personal ID Task Force is completing its new report on smart cards and logical access. This report discusses the drivers for stronger authentication, provides an overview of different authentication technologies, describes the benefits that smart card technology delivers, and outlines the business case for using smart cards for logical access. The report will be complete by the Alliance Annual Conference.
We will have an in-person Task Force meeting at the Alliance Annual Conference on Tuesday, Oct. 19, from 8-9AM, to brainstorm possible next projects. All Smart Card Alliance members are welcome to attend.

Terminal and eTransaction Infrastructure Task Force
The Terminal and eTransaction Infrastructure Task Force is currently working on its next project on consumer payment with mobile devices. We will have an in-person Task Force meeting at the Alliance Annual Conference on Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 8-9AM, to work on the new mobile device payment project. All Smart Card Alliance members are welcome to attend.
