CeBIT: Gemalto and Utimaco Launch Single-Device Solution Combining Digital Identification and Secure Data Storage
Plug-and-play multi-purpose device simplifies IT management and user adoption
CeBIT tradeshow, Hanover, Germany, March 19, 2007–Gemalto (Euronext NL0000400653 GTO), a world leader in digital security, and Utimaco, The Data Security Company, jointly introduce an innovative USB (Universal Serial Bus) device that features two functionalities in an “all-in-one” solution. Not only does it manage network identity credentials, but it also provides users with additional memory to securely store confidential data. Utimaco supplies data protection, while Gemalto provides the strong authentication software and the personal device. This solution, named “Secure Digital Companion”, automatically sets up once the device is connected to the PC, making it simple and convenient to deploy and use.
