EUROSMART ANNOUNCES FIRST SEMESTER 2004 SMART CARD FIGURES
Eurosmart has announced the 2004 first semester smart card shipments and forecast of the total 2004 and 2005 are now available.

Ingenico announced the launch of a new integrated hospitality solution with HSI Canada Micros and Radiant Communications. Restaurant patrons will be able to securely pay their bill with their debit or credit card right at their table using Ingenico's short-range wireless terminals.

CANADIAN BANK BUYS INGENICO SMART CARD TERMINALS
Desjardins, one of the larger retail financial institutions in Canada, has ordered 30,000 payment terminals and PIN pads from France-based Ingenico as it upgrades it point-of-sale equipment in preparation for the arrival of EMV-compliant smart cards.

SMART CARD SOCIETY OF SOUTHERN AFRICA RELEASES REPORT
