Taxis Install State-of-the-Art Visa payWave Readers; Passengers Avoid Fumbling for Cash, Pay Faster
SAN FRANCISCO, June 12, 2007–Visa, a global leader in payments, and taxi innovation expert Creative Mobile Technologies (CMT), today announced the launch of a program to enhance the payment experience for New York taxi passengers. The initiative, which started in June 2007, will equip thousands of New York taxicabs with contactless payment readers located in the back of the taxi, enabling passengers to simply pay with a wave.

Council announces first year results, new officers and plans for 2007

Several Arenas Join Football and Baseball Stadiums by Accepting Contactless Payments to Improve the Fan Experience
Purchase, NY, April 16, 2007–MasterCard Worldwide today announced that three arenas, home to three National Hockey League (NHL), two National Basketball Association (NBA) teams and an array of special events are accepting MasterCard® PayPass™, a contactless payment option. Now fans can pay for concessions using MasterCard PayPass, which delivers speed and convenience at the register when making purchases.
