NFC, soon be available as standard functionality in half a billion mobile devices¹, can be used for many innovative applications, including mobile payment, identity, physical access, and logical/IT access. NFC allows consumers to perform safe contactless transactions, access digital content, and connect electronic devices in a simple manner. An NFC chip in a mobile device can act as a card or a reader or both, enabling consumer devices to share information and to make secure payments quickly.

“After focusing the three preceding webinars in this series on providing a solid background on NFC technology and security, this webinar will look at use cases of real-life implementations. Attendees will come away with practical guidance and lessons learned on the ways to best secure their NFC applications from experts who are implementing it today,” said Randy Vanderhoof, executive director of the Smart Card Alliance.

In this webinar, held in partnership with the NFC Forum, speakers will present several NFC uses cases–logical access, physical access, NFC tag applications and payment–and describe the security implementations for each. The expert speakers are:

  • Christian Ali, SecureKey Technologies
  • Jonathan Main, NFC Forum Technical Committee & MasterCard
  • Steve Rogers, IQ Devices
  • Tony Sabetti, Isis
