Smart Card Alliance 2008 OSCA AWARDS
Outstanding Smart Card Achievement Awards
The Smart Card Alliance is now accepting nominations for the organization’s 2008 Outstanding Smart Card Achievement (OSCA) Awards. The Alliance will present three separate OSCA Awards recognizing those who have significantly impacted and influenced the market for smart cards in North America. The OSCA Awards will be presented during the Smart Card Alliance 2008 Annual Conference held in conjunction with CTST 2008 – The Americas Conference on May 12 - 15, 2008 in Orlando, Florida. The 2008 OSCA Award winners will be announced at the Smart Card Alliance Networking Reception on Monday, May 12th at the Rosen Centre Hotel, Orlando, FL. The finalists for the 2008 OSCA Awards will be notified no later than April 4, 2008.
Nominations will be welcomed from any organizations or individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievements or shown exceptional leadership which has positively impacted the North American smart card marketplace. Applications can be submitted by the individual or organization named in the nomination, or by any third party acting on the nominee’s behalf. Submissions are due by Friday, March 21st, 2008.
Award Categories
Nominations are open in three award categories – two for organizations and one for an individual.
- Outstanding Issuing Organization Award. For an organization that is issuing smart card technology to its internal clients or external customers for their use in North America.
- Outstanding Supplier Organization Award. For an organization with offices in North America that designs, develops, manufactures or integrates smart card technology or provides services that support smart card usage in North America.
- Outstanding Individual Leadership Award. For an individual who stands out for his or her individual contributions to the smart card industry in North America based on a professional record of leadership, vision, support and commitment to the smart card industry in North America.

The 2006 OSCA Award winners are showcased on the Smart Card Alliance web site. (No awards were held in 2007 in order to accommodate the scheduling change to the new CTST 2008/SCA Annual Conference beginning this year.)
